Job Summary

Lead delivery of a portfolio of transport planning projects, including transport strategies, Local Plans, business cases, scheme appraisals, transport assessments, and feasibility studies, aligned with UK guidance and client needs. Oversee and quality-check junior team deliverables, contribute to scheme appraisal and evaluation, and act as a key point of contact between UK and India teams. Support mentorship, resourcing/risk management, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Take a lead role in supporting delivery of a portfolio of transport planning projects including transport strategies, Local Plans, business cases, scheme appraisals, transport assessments, and feasibility studies.
•Oversee and review junior staff deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives, technical standards, and client expectations.
•Contribute to the development, appraisal, and evaluation of transport schemes in line with national/local policy and design guidance.
•Act as a key point of contact between UK and India teams to manage workflows, monitor progress, and communicate expectations, collaborating with other mobility and net zero teams.
•Manage and check delegated tasks, provide technical guidance and day-to-day support to junior colleagues, and support resourcing, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.

Key Requirements

•M.Tech or M.Plan in related subjects such as civil engineering, transport engineering, or transport planning.
•Member or working towards associated professional body membership.
•Experience delivering transport planning projects including scheme development (active travel, public transport, highways-based solutions), business case development, transport strategies, and development planning.
•Excellent report writing and strong analytical skills.
•Experience using MS Office tools and GIS packages (GIS; ArcGIS, QGIS).
