Job Summary

Supervise hourly production associates in an inspection center to safely move vehicles for reconditioning, repair or reject inventory, and meet daily, weekly, and monthly production and quality targets. Lead day-to-day operations, coach and performance-manage your team, and ensure adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and quality control standards. Review mechanical and physical defects, minimize re-checks and delays, and maintain safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities

•Directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates to achieve inspection center production targets.
•Manage the safe movement of cars into and out of the inspection center while meeting production and quality goals.
•Oversee day-to-day team activities by identifying strengths/weaknesses, driving continuous improvement, and preventing/resolving conflicts.
•Review and approve mechanical and physical defects of incoming inventory; repair or reject inventory based on estimated repair cost and overall vehicle quality.
•Train associates using Quality Control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time, minimizing re-checks, re-work, and production delays.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED equivalent.
•Experience using computers.
•Be at least 18 years of age.
•Demonstrated functional expertise in areas related to Carvana’s reconditioning process and understanding of reconditioning processes and lean principles.
•Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years, and ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a standing, fast-paced environment.
