Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist with traffic engineering and transportation planning studies such as traffic impact assessments, corridor studies, transportation master plans, and transit studies.
  • •Support traffic data collection, processing, analysis, and interpretation, including traffic volumes, travel patterns, and pedestrian/cycling activity.
  • •Assist with traffic operations and capacity analysis using transportation analysis and modelling tools.
  • •Help develop and evaluate transportation concepts and improvement options for roadways, intersections, transit, pedestrian and cycling facilities.
  • •Support technical reporting and documentation, including figures, presentations, and engineering drawings; participate in field investigations and site inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related engineering program, with at least 2 years of study completed.
  • •Eligible as a recent graduate with plans to continue toward a Master’s degree in a related/same discipline.
  • •Strong interest in traffic engineering and transportation planning, including transit, active transportation, roadways, and municipal infrastructure.
  • •Coursework or experience related to traffic engineering, transportation planning, transportation modeling, statistics, GIS, or data analysis.
  • •Familiarity with transportation analysis/modelling software and/or AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS is preferred.
