Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee pipeline crossings by third-parties and coordinate excavations with company crews and outside contractors for damage prevention.
  • •Conduct investigations of natural gas facility damages, complete investigations, and follow through to resolution.
  • •Review and reconcile invoices and maintain accurate company maps, records, and reports for damage prevention and regulatory compliance.
  • •Serve as the primary contact for area excavators, municipalities, and company personnel responsible for excavation activities.
  • •Identify, address, and report safety and encroachment issues; support safe operation and inspection of assigned company vehicles and equipment, including possible standby/emergency call-outs.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED, plus 5 years of experience in natural gas construction, damage prevention, or related field work with in-depth knowledge of company operations.
  • •Must obtain and maintain minimum Operator Qualifications (OQs) and required classroom training/certifications within six months, and maintain a valid driver’s license per company standards.
  • •Ability to communicate, persuade, and influence internal and external customers at a management level on technical or complex matters, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • •Ability to use the company’s internet/intranet resources for data entry, reference, and retrieval.
  • •Must be willing/able to work outdoors in all weather, respond to emergencies as needed, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 45 pounds.
