Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate shipment of DS materials (e.g., plasmid DNA, control monoclonal antibodies, toxicology lots, cell lines, bulk materials, analytical samples).
  • •Prepare, review, and manage shipment documentation to prevent delays, including customs query resolution.
  • •Oversee internal sample tracking and management, including DLIMS submissions, aliquoting, and labelling for storage and dispatch.
  • •Own departmental freezer inventory (−80°C, −20°C, +4°C): receipt/logging, request fulfilment, stock tracking, disposal, and freezer cleaning.
  • •Act as primary contact for shipping systems and storage workflows; troubleshoot issues and support continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Educated to HND or BSc level in a life science or related discipline.
  • •Understanding of protein structure is advantageous.
  • •High attention to detail and accuracy for handling materials and documentation.
  • •Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • •Knowledge of Good Laboratory Standards (GLS).
