Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead application architecture from as-is discovery through a modernization roadmap in support of a Department of War customer.
  • •Build and maintain an application inventory in the HOPEX architecture repository and develop modernization playbooks and decision matrices.
  • •Define and document application layering, dependencies, and integration patterns, including secure interfaces and identity patterns.
  • •Develop target-state reference architecture and Azure modernization guidance (re-host, re-platform, re-factor) aligned to Zero Trust and RMF controls.
  • •Translate analysis into a phased modernization roadmap with milestones, sequencing, dependencies, resourcing, and cost-reduction opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • •Minimum 5 years in enterprise/application architecture, including application portfolio rationalization and modernization planning using TOGAF/DODAF or similar frameworks.
  • •Minimum 5 years coordinating with other architects, project managers, and team leaders to align development with reference architectures and modernization roadmaps.
  • •Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture and cloud migration strategies (re-host/re-platform/re-factor), including large-scale on-premises-to-cloud migration.
