Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the delivery of hydrology and hydraulic modelling projects for stormwater and water resources.
  • •Provide high-quality stormwater models and technical advisory work for external and internal clients.
  • •Contribute to transformational projects including flood risk management and major infrastructure upgrades.
  • •Predict flood risk and support delivery of critical infrastructure for communities in Auckland and across New Zealand.
  • •Engage with clients and collaborate with the water team to ensure project success and quality deliverables.

Key Requirements

  • •A recognised tertiary qualification in civil or environmental engineering, science or equivalent.
  • •Working towards chartered status with a professional body; CPEng, CIWEM (or equivalent)
  • •Current clean Drivers Licence
  • •Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience as a stormwater/water resources engineer in the hydrology and hydraulic modelling and/or flood risk management context.
  • •Strong capability and experience in using InfoWorks ICM software, with other hydraulic modelling and GIS packages being of benefit – MIKE FLOOD, MIKE 11, WaterRide, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, ArcGIS, QGIS.
