Job Summary

Lead and mentor a drafting team to produce accurate structural drawings, ensure CAD drawings comply with standards, and review/approve drafts for client delivery; coordinate drafting work across projects and uphold quality and completeness of drawings.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure the accuracy of all structural drafting tasks and that drawings are checked before issuing to the client.
•Ensure all drawings comply with CAD standards and quality systems relevant to the specialization and location.
•Undertake reviews of engineering drawings to ensure compliance with CAD standards and quality systems.
•Carry out audits of drawings-in-progress and final drawings, and develop drawings from designer sketches to final outputs with clarity and completeness.
•Coordinate and produce drafting requirements for assigned projects and mentor staff on drafting procedures and approaches.

Key Requirements

•Diploma of Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering equivalent to Senior Technical Associate – CADD, or Graduate of any technical course, or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture.
•At least ten (10) years of relevant structural drafting experience.
•High-level drafting and detailing skills and high level use and understanding of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Revit).
•Experience in a senior team role and exposure to different business models and industry best practice.
•Preferably experience on Australian projects.
