Job Summary

Join SMASH as an Academic Coordinator supporting the SMASH Academy site in Michigan. You’ll assist the Program Director, supervise facilitators, ensure fidelity to curriculum, coordinate training and staff meetings, manage data and communications with scholars and families, and handle site logistics and tech support to ensure high-quality academic programming for STEM-focused students.

Job Function: Executive & General Management

Key Responsibilities

•Attend AC training, team meetings, and check-ins prior to SMASH Academy launch; assist with workshop facilitator interviews and supervise facilitators during Academy sessions; ensure fidelity of curriculum implementation and provide coaching.
•Develop and manage site program calendars, communicate updates, and ensure completion of site deliverables (attendance, surveys, inventories, etc.); respond to inquiries from scholars, families, and staff.
•Plan and lead logistics for workshops and events; coordinate with Development and Communications teams for site tours and media-related projects.
•Respond to tech support needs of scholars and staff; coordinate with IT to track issues and distribute laptops as needed; assist with virtual classroom setup and troubleshooting (AV, Zoom).
•Maintain and organize documents and data in site repositories; ensure Learning Management System data is used effectively at site level; collaborate with Curriculum team to align site activities.

Key Requirements

•Minimum of one (1) year of administrative or relevant experience.
•Proficiency in Google Suite (Calendar, Doc, Sheet, Email, Forms) and Zoom.
•Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
•Strong attention to detail, prompt responsiveness, and ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
•Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule to attend events on evenings and/or weekends.
