Job Summary

Support the monthly and quarterly accounting close for PH Canada & LA&C, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and on-time reporting. Assist with revenue recognition (ASC 606) and GST/HST filings, analyze receivables and sales accruals, and reconcile accounts for balance sheet accuracy. Partner with brand Finance and Development teams and provide clear year-over-year/quarter-over-quarter variance explanations in MD&A and controller decks.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with the monthly and quarterly accounting close process for PH Canada & LA&C, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and meeting deadlines.
•Support revenue recognition (ASC 606) activities such as amortization entries, billings monitoring, and tracking franchise services expenses and revenue.
•Prepare and update monthly GST/HST filings and remittance processes in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations.
•Assist with monthly sales accrual preparation, analyze aged receivables, and support collection efforts and financial performance insights.
•Prepare SOR (Summary of Results) and reconcile accounts, explain variances for MD&A and controller decks, and settle intercompany balances.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 80,300 - 94,300 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•3+ years of accounting or finance with a strong emphasis on tax compliance, financial reporting, and analysis.
•Proficient knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., JD Edwards, Reports Now, Hyperion Financial Management, Microsoft Suite).
•CPA designation preferred.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments; highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
