Job Summary

Serve as a second-line Networking Managed Services Engineer, ensuring clients’ IT infrastructure and systems stay operational. Monitor and triage tickets, proactively identify and resolve medium-complexity incidents, and coordinate swift service restoration aligned to SLAs. Execute operational tasks, manage shift handovers, escalate when needed to Centres of Excellence, and support automation, monitoring setup, and change management activities.

Key Responsibilities

•Proactively monitor client systems and work queues, and maintain operational continuity for managed services.
•Review tickets and client requests, investigate and resolve medium-complexity incidents and problems efficiently.
•Update tickets with actions taken, identify issues before escalation, and coordinate with clients and internal teams.
•Handle shift handover by highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks; escalate to Centres of Excellence when required.
•Support change management by logging change requests, executing approved maintenance, auditing ticket quality, and contributing to trend analysis and automation opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Proficiency with technologies including Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, plus familiarity with ticketing tools.
•At least one technical certification in the relevant technologies.
•Strong planning skills to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.
•Ability to communicate effectively across different cultures and provide client-centric communication.
•A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or equivalent work experience.
