Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for prisoners with complex needs and identified rehabilitative requirements.
  • •Deliver high-quality forensic risk assessments and contribute to risk management through expert advice, consultation, and treatment planning.
  • •Produce specialist reports and present psychological evidence in formal settings, including Parole Board oral hearings, MAPPA meetings, and multidisciplinary reviews.
  • •Support prisoners with complex needs (including personality disorder, learning disability, autism, and trauma histories) and embed a positive rehabilitative culture.
  • •Supervise and support Qualified Forensic Psychologists and Forensic Psychologists in Training (FPiTs), and provide consultancy, training, and guidance to prison staff.

Key Requirements
