Key Responsibilities

  • •Define procurement requirements for pre-operational sites by translating technical specifications into sourcing scope with engineering and technical teams.
  • •Own end-to-end pre-operational procurement: qualify vendors, run RFQs and competitive bids, negotiate pricing/terms, execute purchases, and manage first deliveries.
  • •Procure operating supplies and consumables (including reagents and spare parts) and non-construction capital spend (including mobile equipment).
  • •Review contracts for policy compliance and enterprise alignment prior to execution, flagging clauses with broader implications.
  • •Own vendor relationships through the pre-operational phase, lead cross-site consolidation sourcing events for savings, and coordinate continuity of supply through startup into operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical field (or equivalent technical depth via experience).
  • •8-12+ years of experience in procurement, project procurement, or capital purchasing in mining, industrials, chemicals, or a related sector.
  • •Proven track record owning pre-operational or greenfield site procurement from spec to first delivery.
  • •Strong technical background to read specifications, understand process requirements, and engage credibly with engineering teams.
