Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and CarMax standards.
  • •Maintain accurate, compliant DOT logs and documentation.
  • •Load, secure, transport, and unload CarMax vehicles safely and efficiently, including hands-on freight handling.
  • •Move vehicles between CarMax locations and approved vendors using a company-provided truck, keeping equipment clean and operational.
  • •Deliver vehicles accurately and on time to support inventory flow and customer/store schedules while representing CarMax professionally.

Salary: USD 23.8 - 40.5 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • •Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and 2+ years of Class A CDL driving experience (or 2+ years CMV driving experience at CarMax).
  • •Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past three years and ability to meet CarMax’s Driver Safety Evaluation criteria.
  • •Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing/bending/kneeling and load securement on multi-level decks.
  • •Ability to meet DOT & FMCSA qualification requirements and maintain compliant DOT logs/documentation.
