Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One.
  • •Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including foundation model training and LLM inference.
  • •Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies (e.g., AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch) to build and improve AI systems.
  • •Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve performance (scalability, cost, latency, throughput) in production.
  • •Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 215,200 - 245,600 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/AI/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering (or related) plus at least 4 years of AI/ML algorithm or technology experience, or a Master's degree plus at least 2 years experience.
  • •At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • •Experience deploying scalable and responsible AI solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is preferred.
  • •Experience designing, developing, delivering, and supporting AI services is preferred.
  • •Experience developing AI/ML technologies (e.g., LLM inference, similarity search, vector databases, guardrails) using Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang is preferred.
