Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with hardware design engineering, component engineering, and manufacturing to align supplier technologies with Cisco product architecture and roadmap.
  • •Lead supplier technical roadmap discussions and serve as technical escalation point for design, yield, reliability, and manufacturability issues; hold suppliers to milestones and qualification schedules.
  • •Own supplier technical readiness from prototype through mass production; facilitate collaboration to resolve design and manufacturing issues and support ramp readiness, yield improvement, and NPI-to-production transition.
  • •Drive value engineering initiatives and develop second-source (multi-sourcing) strategies to improve cost efficiency and design robustness.
  • •Support supply resilience and risk management (including geographic diversification and non-China strategies) and lead business reviews with technical reporting and KPIs.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years technical experience in memory & storage technologies (especially NAND solutions like SSD, eMMC, UFS, uSD), including design support and manufacturing engagement.
  • •8+ years experience working directly with hardware design engineering teams on New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • •8+ years experience engaging suppliers on technical development, qualification, and manufacturing readiness, including cost negotiations, should-cost modeling, contract management, and RFQ/RFI processes.
  • •Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • •Experience with memory & storage technology or in memory suppliers.
