Job Summary

Design, develop, and validate high-performance optical and electro-optical systems from concept through production. Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure optical performance, manufacturability, and quality across the product lifecycle. Execute optical system design, prototyping, refinement, and validation; perform optical modeling and analysis; research emerging technologies; and support patent review and submission.

•Follow business standards, engineering best practices, and product/program requirements throughout development.
•Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optical parts and assemblies are manufacturable and consistently meet quality targets.
•Partner with suppliers to refine designs for optimal cost, performance, and manufacturing consistency.
•Research emerging technologies and support patent review and submission for optical solutions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
•5+ years of experience designing and developing optical products.
•Significant experience with optical modeling of electro-optical systems, including alignment, lens selection, MTF, and FOV analysis.
•Hands-on experience with optical design software such as Code V and/or Zemax.
•Experience working with CCD and CMOS imaging systems, including illumination system design and micro-optics.

Experience:5+ years

Education:Bachelor's in Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
