Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain operational capability of control electrical systems (less than 60V).
  • •Develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems, including PLCs and related hardware.
  • •Create automation systems for avionics and engine testing and transfer real-time sensor/actuator data to operators/engineers/customers.
  • •Provide technical support and guidance for controls technicians and other engineering groups.
  • •Analyze data to assess electrical system function and health and assist in designing/analysis of experiments for test articles.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in physics, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
  • •1+ years of experience working with data acquisition systems (professional work, internships, clubs, or other engineering activities qualify).
  • •Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting data acquisition and control hardware.
  • •Familiarity with hazardous areas instrumentation and control system installations (NFPA 70 Section 500; class 1 division 1/2 or IEC equivalence).
  • •General schematic capture and printed circuit board (PCB) design and/or verification and validation experience.
