Job Summary

Join WSP’s award-winning water team to support hydraulic modelling studies for UK regulated water clients. Use industry-standard tools such as InfoWorks ICM/CS and, depending on project needs, TUFLOW and other modelling software to interrogate, enhance, and build network models that assess asset performance. Contribute to feasibility studies and optioneering, prepare reports and drawings, and coordinate with internal teams, field investigation teams, and clients while sharing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide support on hydraulic modelling studies for regulated water clients, including interrogating/enhancing existing models and building new models to assess asset performance.
•Provide technical input on urban drainage projects and support delivery of current and future wastewater work.
•Support feasibility studies and optioneering using network models to evaluate and optimise asset performance.
•Prepare reports and supporting drawings.
•Define work needed by field investigation teams and help maintain client relationships through coordination of internal and client project meetings.

Key Requirements

•A degree in a relevant discipline (engineering, environmental science, geography).
•A chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE/CIWEM) or working towards chartership.
•Sound knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling, including checking technical outputs of others.
•Extensive experience of hydraulic modelling using industry-standard software, specifically InfoWorks ICM or similar.
•Familiarity with industry-standard GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo).
