Key Responsibilities

  • •Prior to painting and insulation activities, review procedures and material data sheets for compliance with project specifications and site operational requirements.
  • •Instigate quality control checks and tests (including surface preparation, dry film thickness, adhesion tests, and temperature/humidity levels) and maintain required records per ITP, method statements, and specifications.
  • •Where applicable, supervise paint shop activities and ensure work is executed safely, ethically, and to Wood values and behaviors.
  • •Record all approved modifications and corrections to the Piping Line List paint and insulation codes on red-lined ‘as-built’ line lists verified by field personnel.
  • •Partner with other disciplines and the client to enable robust technical decisions that add value to the project.

Key Requirements

  • •Vocation, diploma, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or a related field.
  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience working in live plant, greenfield, and turnaround/revamp work in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, power plant, or similar plants.
  • •Extensive track record managing Painting/Insulation construction activities within the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.
  • •Strong communication and presentation skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
  • •Experience supervising construction staff to achieve effective construction execution.
