Key Responsibilities

  • •Take absolute technical ownership of back-end production equipment across specification, qualification, sustaining, and reliability.
  • •Diagnose complex electro-mechanical failures as the final escalation point and improve MTBF/MTTR using structured root-cause methods (8D, 5-Why) under SEMI E10 standards.
  • •Move reliability and availability metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) with evidence-based analysis, and optimize tool availability, capability, and total cost of ownership.
  • •Author equipment specifications, evaluate vendors, execute FAT/SAT, and manage technical documentation for packaging and transferring equipment setups to international sites.
  • •Establish engineering standards for PM plans, CMMS assets, ECNs, and ISO 9001 compliance; enforce engineering controls for Class IV lasers, chemical hazards, and high-temperature systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering with 10+ years of hands-on equipment ownership in high-volume semiconductor, advanced materials, or high-precision manufacturing.
  • •Mastery of electro-mechanical systems (motion control, PLC/HMI, pneumatics, vacuum, fluid delivery), with strong preference for Class IV lasers, CMP/polishing, or robotic work cells.
  • •Track OEE, MTBF, and MTTR improvements with evidence-based data analysis; experience with Python, JMP, and/or SQL is a plus.
  • •Practical experience applying machine safety codes (LOTO, NFPA 79, CE/UL, SEMI S2) and proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks), PLM (Teamcenter), and CMMS frameworks.
  • •Proven ability to operate independently as a principal contributor, escalate complex failures using 8D/5-Why methods, and improve reliability under SEMI E10 standards.
