Key Responsibilities

  • •Consult on open pit and underground mining projects for domestic and international clients.
  • •Direct mining rock mechanics management work including field investigation, laboratory testing/interpretation, design/construction, and geotechnical analysis.
  • •Direct and review geotechnical analyses focused on rock mechanics and provide specialized technical expertise.
  • •Manage quality control and risks during geotechnical and design work, including critical review with Principals.
  • •Lead large, complex, and/or multidisciplinary projects and coach/mentor junior and intermediate staff; support hiring and training decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in mining, geotechnical, or geological engineering (or closely related).
  • •8–12+ years of relevant post-degree experience in consulting engineering or the mining industry.
  • •Currently registered as a Professional Engineer.
  • •Expertise in rock mechanics and geological engineering with a technical specialization.
  • •Ability to lead projects and provide excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication with clients and colleagues.
