Key Responsibilities

•Lead development and maintenance of enterprise data domain models, taxonomies, and ontologies to improve semantic consistency and discoverability.
•Design and evolve information and semantic models to make enterprise data AI-ready for BI, machine learning, and LLM-based experiences (e.g., search and RAG).
•Operationalize data models, taxonomies, and semantic structures through the Enterprise Data Catalog (Alation).
•Define and enforce standards for data modeling, taxonomy/nomenclature, and semantic structures to ensure consistency and interoperability across domains.
•Provide authoritative guidance on semantic conflicts by resolving definition discrepancies, harmonizing terms, and mediating cross-domain dependencies.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 96,000 - 181,000 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years working with data, metadata, and reference data frameworks, including metadata management and/or data quality monitoring.
•Lead development of enterprise business glossaries, domain models, and ontologies to ensure semantic consistency and shared understanding for AI-ready data usage.
•Experience with data governance concepts including data quality, master data management, data lineage, and metadata management.
•Establish and operationalize metadata governance functions (policies, standards, roles, and controls).
•Hands-on implementation and scaling of an Enterprise Data Catalog or metadata repository (Alation or equivalent) including curation workflows and adoption strategies.
