Job Summary

Architect and build die-level and wafer-level photonic test beds for photonic integrated circuits used in neutral-atom quantum computers. Own day-to-day test operations, throughput, uptime, calibration, and measurement repeatability. Develop Python automation for instrument control and data pipelines, define verification and pass/fail criteria with design and foundry partners, and generate test reports and yield analyses that drive the design-fab-test iteration cycle.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect, design, and build die-level and wafer-level photonic test beds from scratch, including probe stations, probing, fixturing, alignment automation, instrumentation, and environmental controls.
•Run die-level and wafer-level test campaigns, maximizing throughput and uptime while maintaining calibration and measurement repeatability.
•Develop automated test software in Python for instrument control, wafer maps, data acquisition, analysis pipelines, and reporting dashboards.
•Partner with photonic design engineers and foundry partners to define verification specs, test structures, and pass/fail criteria and close the loop on design-fab-test iteration cycles.
•Generate test reports and statistical yield analyses and communicate results to a multidisciplinary engineering and science team.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, physics, optical engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum 3 years as a Test Engineer or Photonics Engineer with hands-on responsibility for photonic or semiconductor device testing.
•Experience specifying, procuring, integrating, and bringing up wafer probers or die-level test stations for photonic or optoelectronic devices.
•Hands-on laboratory skills with fiber optics and free-space optics, including fiber-to-chip/edge-grating coupling and active alignment.
•Strong automation/programming in Python, including programming lab equipment with SCPI, PyVISA, or LabVIEW.
