Job Summary

Assist the Class Teacher in creating an engaging, inclusive learning environment for all children. Work with individuals and small groups, support classroom activities to help learners access the curriculum, and help adjust strategies to facilitate learning. Support the recording and presentation of evidence of learning, contribute to children’s wellbeing needs, manage minor non-contact admin tasks, and prepare/store resources. Provide feedback to the Class Teacher and supervise children during breaks and trips as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the class and subject teachers.
•Support groups of children in the classroom to help them access the curriculum and be proactive with learning strategies.
•Support recording and presenting evidence of learning, follow programmes of work, and work towards set targets.
•Contribute to children’s wellbeing needs and support staff with minor non-contact admin tasks (e.g., photocopying, filing, records).
•Prepare and store resources, make notes in IEP books, provide verbal and written feedback, and supervise children during breaks and school trips as appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Minimum high school education in English and Maths (degree preferred).
•Experience or aptitude for working with students; previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
•Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
•Enthusiasm and aptitude for working with students.
•Ability to work well in a team, use initiative, and support learning targets.
