Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop power electronic software specifications for motor controls for power tools and outdoor products.
  • •Conduct motor control MIL simulations and tests in MATLAB using motor control algorithms and motor/battery system modeling.
  • •Generate embedded code from model-based design and support MATLAB unit testing and coverage testing.
  • •Develop and lead HIL test system design using Speedgoat, building a digital power HIL twin and performing hardware-in-loop verification.
  • •Build V&V environments (HIL/SIL/MIL), create software verification/validation procedures (unit/integration testing), and support project decisions and documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automation engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • •7+ years of experience in embedded firmware research/product development.
  • •Experience designing an MBD embedded software platform for power tool products.
  • •Strong MBD and test automation experience across MIL/PIL/SIL/HIL verification and validation.
  • •Proficiency in C/C++ embedded microcontroller debugging, code generation, and BSP/HAL; plus motor control knowledge (FOC and trapezoidal control) and closed-loop feedback systems (including sensorless/sensored).
