  • •Manage and day-to-day supervise multiple field crews delivering SUE and private utility locating services.
  • •Ensure field teams adhere to safety and quality guidelines and maintain field schedules across projects and locations.
  • •Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and other utility records to guide locating work.
  • •Oversee identification and designation of utilities using geophysical equipment and deductive reasoning, including QA/QC of SUE field data.
  • •Utilize GPS/Total Station and related tools to survey utility features; troubleshoot technical problems; communicate with field and office staff and mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree with 4 years of related experience, or AS degree with 6 years, or high school with 8 years.
  • •SUE and/or private utility locating experience with a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • •Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • •Ability to perform frequent outdoor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequent walking across uneven outdoor terrains; position requires frequent travel with overnight stays.
