Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and implement electrical strategies, technical standards, and requirements to ensure performance, reliability, and integrity of electrical systems.
  • •Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and validate electrical designs, specifications, risk assessments, and engineering solutions.
  • •Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs to improve availability and equipment life; analyze performance and failures and lead corrective actions.
  • •Coordinate and supervise electrical engineering activities across design, construction, installation, and commissioning phases; review contractor deliverables for quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • •Ensure electrical safety practices and compliance (including LOTO, isolation, and work permits), support audits and incident investigations, and manage contractor and stakeholder performance to meet operational goals.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with professional engineer registration (or eligibility) as an asset.
  • •At least 10 years of experience in mining, industrial, energy, or major infrastructure sectors, including high, medium, and low voltage systems work.
  • •Significant experience delivering projects, commissioning, and supporting operations in complex or remote environments, including mining and industrial infrastructure.
  • •Strong knowledge of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, including transformers, switchyards, switching equipment, and protection systems.
  • •Expertise in automation and industrial control solutions such as PLC, SCADA, and DCS, plus asset reliability and maintenance practices (preventive/predictive), RCA, FMEA, and asset management tools like SAP or CMMS.
