Key Responsibilities

  • •Research and deliver high-quality land ownership information using databases, land registry records, and Ordnance Survey maps.
  • •Undertake land referencing activities including land/property registry research, desktop research, questionnaire analysis, archival investigations, and managing information in databases and GIS.
  • •Support landowner engagement: review affected parties, negotiate land access so surveys can be carried out, and attend project meetings.
  • •Contribute to land access and land acquisition delivery, including identification of land ownership, consultation, property valuation, assessing and negotiating compensation, and supporting engagement through consenting stages.
  • •Support project delivery by completing technical project tasks on time, within budget, and to agreed standards, including reporting and risk management.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in geography or another relevant discipline with understanding of land-use and/or landownership complexities.
  • •Experience engaging landowners or working with members of the public.
  • •Good understanding of land referencing and/or land acquisition processes, including researching and identifying landowners/occupiers and related rights (desirable).
  • •Provide evidence of working under tight timeframes in a busy professional environment.
  • •Comfort reading and using maps in a technical way, with excellent verbal/written communication and organisational skills.
