Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on bid strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals and bids, and attend/chair bid interviews while making recommendations.
  • •Manage estimating services by building project estimates, reviewing junior estimates, presenting estimates, and supporting value engineering and risk assessments.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting, reviewing cost reports and forecasts, maintaining a commercial risk register, and facilitating periodic meetings with the team and vendors.
  • •Lead cost control by reviewing payment applications, recommending contractor entitlements, evaluating change order requests, and using dispute resolution procedures for contractual issues.
  • •Manage invoicing, benchmark performance, perform final accounting/post-contract audits and close outs, and run post-contract reviews to create lessons learned and training materials.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large construction projects.
  • •Good knowledge of construction procurement routes, value management, and value engineering, plus strong communication skills.
