Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, secure, build, and maintain resilient UNIX environments across AIX 7.x, Ubuntu, and RHEL 6–10 on physical, virtual, and hybrid platforms.
  • •Own UNIX OS lifecycle strategy including patching, upgrades, security baselines, and hardware refresh planning.
  • •Maintain HA and performance-tuned enterprise systems using Pacemaker/HACMP and related clustering solutions.
  • •Automate provisioning and configuration enforcement using Ansible/AWX/CfEngine and scripting, and use GitHub-driven workflows and CI/CD for infrastructure-as-code deployments.
  • •Harden and ensure compliance with security frameworks; integrate identity/access (PAM, LDAP, Kerberos, CyberArk/Conjur), implement logging/audit integrations, and support incident response, on-call, DR testing, and RCA.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of UNIX engineering across AIX, RHEL, and Ubuntu in large enterprise environments.
  • •Deep experience with centralized authentication/authorization (LDAP, Kerberos, PAM, SSSD, RHDS) and Active Directory integration.
  • •Proficiency in shell scripting (bash/ksh/sh) with strong Python and Ansible skills.
  • •Hands-on knowledge of HA and clustering (e.g., Pacemaker, HACMP, Veritas Cluster) and enterprise OS lifecycle practices.
  • •Experience with DevOps/SRE practices including infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Ansible/AWX), plus monitoring/logging.
