Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, architect, and code AWS-based applications using React/Redux and Python backends, working across core AWS services.
  • •Build and deliver intelligent document processing (IDP) systems using generative AI foundation models, including classification, extraction, and validation workflows.
  • •Own significant portions of solutions end to end, partner on integrations, and make/deliver documented design decisions with clear tradeoffs.
  • •Maintain and modernize existing applications, analyze system factors, manage technical debt, and implement testing and cloud monitoring/logging to diagnose production behavior.
  • •Mentor engineers through pairing and code review, contribute to technical direction, and write/maintain design and operational documentation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,080 - 160,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or commensurate experience).
  • •Prior hands-on experience delivering software for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / VA Tier 2 background investigation.
  • •Proficiency with Git, GitHub, and JIRA, including branching, review workflow, and release practices.
  • •Deep hands-on AWS engineering experience across serverless/event-driven, data/search, and AI/ML services.
