Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot network equipment by isolating and restoring network service; proactively identify potential problem areas.
  • •Assist with installation/change/decommission and testing of next-generation technologies (Edge Compute, Wavelength, fiber optic transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP network layers).
  • •Install, activate, test, and maintain network services and telecommunications equipment, including customer premise equipment (CPE) for end-user service delivery.
  • •Perform basic troubleshooting and repair for customer and network service issues; conduct fiber testing, Ethernet testing, and circuit validation as assigned.
  • •Travel to customer and network locations to complete field service work and support outage response/service restoration through an on-call rotation.

  • •High school diploma or GED, or up to 2 years of relevant job experience including 1+ years network monitoring, installation, or maintenance/repair.

  • •Ability to work in a field environment (climbing, crouching, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in all weather conditions).
