Job Summary

Maintain and repair material handling equipment (MHE) by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance. Install and repair electrical and lighting components, dock doors, and dock plates, following manufacturer guidelines and established timelines. Interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and maintenance manuals, and document time and materials in the computerized maintenance management system. Operate required lift equipment and complete assigned duties to keep operations running.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage the repair of MHE, including monitoring and trending, troubleshooting and repairs, and preventative maintenance.
•Conduct installation and repairs on electrical and lighting issues, dock doors, and dock plates.
•Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) within manufacturer guidelines and established timelines, including oil changes, filter changes, calibration, belt changes, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication.
•Log time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system.
•Interpret and understand plans/specifications, schematics, and operating and maintenance manuals; complete other duties as assigned.

Salary: USD 24.73 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance, or 4 years direct experience.
•Technical vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate’s degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school (preferred).
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with team personnel and outside contractors.
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, or scissor lift.
•Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including reading and writing work orders, instructions, daily reports, and machine manuals.
