Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply insurance distribution workflow knowledge to produce accurate, contextually relevant documentation for insurance end users and developers.
  • •Collaborate with Insurance Product Owners and Solutions teams to document vertical-specific features, data models, and integration patterns.
  • •Write, edit, and maintain developer-facing documentation including API docs, integration guides, plugin docs, technical workflows, and release notes.
  • •Read, interpret, and validate OpenAPI specifications and partner with engineering teams to document new software features, endpoints, data models, and error handling.
  • •Own documentation quality, architecture, and usability while working in a Docs-as-Code, Git-based workflow from intake through publication.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 5 years of technical writing experience focused on software or technical platforms.
  • •Proficiency with OpenAPI Specification, including the ability to read and validate .yaml and .json specification files.
  • •Experience writing API and developer documentation for SaaS, platform, or enterprise software products.
  • •Demonstrated Docs-as-Code workflow experience, including hands-on work with GitHub/GitLab or Gitbooks.
  • •Strong insurance/regulated-industry fluency, particularly around insurance distribution workflows like contracting and commissions (FMOs/IMOs, carrier relationships).
