Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide line management and functional direction within the fabrications maintenance environment, serving as a route to address issues via secondary line manager access.
  • •Review maintenance practices, challenge current approaches, and identify capacity and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • •Ensure safety and compliance with BAE Systems operational framework, lifecycle management practices, maintenance and continuing airworthiness mandates, MOE, and RSAF logistics management regulations.
  • •Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment, ensure correct tooling and approved data availability, and oversee calibration and deficiencies reporting.
  • •Monitor personnel standards, ensure authorization for maintenance tasks, maintain anti-FOD surveillance, and ensure accurate recording of maintenance and test results.

Key Requirements

  • •A recognized NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level qualification in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent acceptable qualification.
  • •Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise engineering personnel at all levels.
  • •Relevant type training (Q Course) and equipment-specific training if required.
  • •Experience working with metallic and/or composite materials.
  • •Ability to read and understand design/repair drawings.
