Job Summary

Assist across ADU operations at the Magnolia site, supporting transload, sanitation, groundskeeping, and emergency response tasks. You’ll help coordinate trailer and truck loading/unloading, maintain biosecurity by cleaning and sanitizing ADU vehicles and equipment with high-pressure spray equipment, assemble ADU containers, and support spill cleanups and facility upkeep. Follow Smithfield Injury Prevention System (SIPS) safety and company/environmental compliance procedures while maintaining required paperwork and records.

Key Responsibilities

•Work in all phases of ADU transload, including estimating load counts, coordinating trailer/truck loading and unloading, scheduling departing loads, and completing incoming/outgoing paperwork.
•Perform ADU sanitation, maintaining biosecurity by cleaning and sanitizing vehicles and equipment using high-volume/high-pressure spraying, keeping truck wash areas safe and clean, and maintaining sanitation service records.
•Assemble ADU containers as needed and load containers for onsite pick up customers using a forklift.
•Assist with emergency spill cleanups, including mortality removal, and help with grounds and facility upkeep (e.g., cutting grass, taking out trash, cleaning inside/outside).
•Follow SIPS safety requirements and remain compliant with environmental laws, procedures, and emergency notification processes; report environmental issues immediately.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 15.45 hourly

Key Requirements

•Must hold a current NC Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record.
•Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift and farm/utility equipment (e.g., bobcat, tractor, lawnmower) and operate a high-pressure water sprayer.
•Ability to do hard physical labor and handle demanding physical requirements (walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.).
•Strong commitment to teamwork; ability to follow instructions and deal with standardized situations.
•Weekend, evening, and holiday work required as needed; willingness to be on call when needed.
