Job Summary

Drive process technology implementation and continuous improvement across Radius recycling operations, including metal recovery initiatives tied to shredder and joint products. Lead projects that enhance yields, product quality, throughput, and mechanical availability while developing new product streams and improving process efficiency. Partner with third-party providers, provide technical support to operations teams, deliver training tools, and work with Environmental, Health & Safety to reduce environmental impact and ensure safe operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement metal recovery technology strategy and other technology improvements across Radius operations.
•Project manage technology, continuous improvement, and capital projects, including scoping, scheduling, resourcing, and progress monitoring.
•Lead process improvement and technological advancements to enhance product quality, increase metal recovery, and create new product streams.
•Develop and deliver training and support tools to institutionalize new technologies and process improvements for operations employees.
•Partner with Environmental, Health & Safety teams to ensure adherence to policies and identify sustainability improvements that reduce environmental impact.

Travel: Extensive travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 5 years of process engineering and project management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
•Experience leading and implementing continuous improvement/optimization projects.
•Prior experience in scrap metals recycling or an adjacent heavy industry such as mining, gas & oil, municipal waste recycling, or heavy fabrication/processing.
•Strong safety mindset and understanding of environmental permitting processes.
•Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to drive an automobile.
