Job Summary

Operate and monitor wastewater treatment and drinking water systems during overnight hours, working independently to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant plant operations. Perform routine inspections, monitor gauges and control panels, respond to alarms, collect samples and complete field or laboratory testing, and accurately document readings and maintenance activities. Complete basic troubleshooting, adjust chemical feed systems as required, and help maintain clean, safe grounds and work areas.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and monitor wastewater treatment and drinking water systems to support compliant operations.
•Perform routine inspections of pumps, tanks, valves, chemical feed systems, piping, meters, controls, and related equipment.
•Monitor operating conditions, respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, and adjust equipment or chemical feed systems as directed.
•Collect wastewater and drinking water samples and complete routine field or laboratory testing as assigned.
•Record operational data and shift notes, perform basic troubleshooting, and communicate shift status and follow-up needs.

•High school diploma or equivalent required.

•Willingness to work overtime as needed and comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
