•Perform accurate diagnostics and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on all vehicle systems.
•Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and complete state inspections when required.
•Manage repair orders, ensuring accuracy in labor, parts, and billing documentation.
•Utilize proprietary and universal software systems.
•Maintain a clean, organized workspace following CarMax 5S standards and safety protocols, and follow EH&S requirements while supporting associates and managers with functional expertise.

Salary: USD 22.2 - 43.2 hourly

Key Requirements

•Completion of CarMax New Associate Orientation and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates.
•Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data accurately for record-keeping.
•Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
•Excellent communication and customer service skills, including active listening and telephone etiquette.
•Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2).
