Key Responsibilities

  • •Own on-prem Linux servers and clusters for EDA/CAD tools, simulation, and performance modeling, including shared storage, snapshots, backups, and patch/lifecycle cadence.
  • •Run identity and developer platform operations: Okta SSO, SAML onboarding, SCIM provisioning/deprovisioning, MFA policy, and admin of GitHub Enterprise plus collaboration and data governance controls.
  • •Administer public cloud storage/compute (including IAM, networking, machine images) and manage hybrid connectivity between sites and cloud environments, including cost visibility and spend control.
  • •Design and operate wired/wireless network architecture at both sites (switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, remote access) and manage ISP/circuit provisioning for new build-outs with escalation ownership.
  • •Govern the managed service provider: define SLAs and scope, audit outcomes (offboarding, patch coverage, backup restores, endpoint compliance), and execute the insourcing roadmap while supporting endpoint fleet standards and escalation-tier support.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years in IT engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations, including being the primary IT owner at a company under 200 people.
  • •Strong hands-on Linux administration, including installation, storage, networking, configuration management, and troubleshooting below the application layer.
  • •Ownership of SSO/IdP administration with SCIM-based provisioning and verified deprovisioning (Okta strongly preferred).
  • •Practical network engineering ability across switching, VLANs, enterprise Wi‑Fi, firewall policy, VPN, and DNS/DHCP to design and stand up a site network.
  • •Hands-on administration of a mixed macOS and Windows endpoint fleet at scale, including imaging, patching, encryption, and compliance enforcement.
