Key Responsibilities

•Participate in the cadet shipping program with an orientation and ongoing coaching.
•Receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments using technical skills developed in college.
•Complete internship availability requirements and engage in periodic performance appraisals.
•Perform in a safety-sensitive role with expectations to make safe and ethical decisions.
•Collaborate with and interact with both office and field employees as needed.

Key Requirements

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
•Be available for a minimum of 8 continuous weeks for the internship.
•Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marine Engineering, Marine Operations, Maritime Operations & Technology (or foreign equivalent).
•Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
•Have or be able to apply for a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card) to access secure MTSA-regulated facilities and vessels.
