Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver student club coaching across BUCS and development teams throughout the academic year.
  • •Develop and run tennis competition and summer programmes, including Matchplay/court utilisation and padel sessions.
  • •Deliver year-round social sport and Try a Sport tennis programming (including Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis, and sessions for participants aged 50+).
  • •Support tennis workforce objectives by progressing coaches/officials, signposting to LTA courses, and working with local clubs/organisations.
  • •Attend and represent the University at LTA events and provide annual reports, while following safeguarding policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •GCSE Maths and English (minimum Grade C/4) or equivalent (Level 2).
  • •LTA Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification or higher.
  • •Understanding of BUCS rules and regulations, and knowledge of student sport delivery in a university environment.
  • •Good understanding of national governing body competition structures and delivery methods, plus equity and diversity awareness.
  • •IT competence (Microsoft Word and Excel) and a commitment to CPD; DBS required.
