Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform test and turn-up of transport nodes and services traversing the network.
  • •Serve as a technical SME for transport network management in an engineering/operations environment.
  • •Provide tier-2 trouble analysis for escalations involving SONET, OTN, and DWDM.
  • •Coordinate tier-2 network implementations, acting as the technical POC for service provisioning, configurations, and test/turn-up processes.
  • •Write and maintain technical operational documentation and SOPs, including circuit layout records and network diagrams, and review as-built/configuration management drawings.

Key Requirements

  • •Requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • •Security+ (or equivalent) and IAT/IAM/IASAE Level 2 of DOD 8570.1.
  • •5+ years of experience in a network management environment and strong proficiency in OTN/SONET/DWDM.
  • •Expertise using network management protocols, tools, and products including One Control, MCP, DNA, TNMS, and Remedy.
  • •Ability to operate with minimum guidance; provide on-call after-hours support and work shifts supporting 24x7 operations.
