Key Responsibilities

  • •Support new machining center installations and existing machining production operations through configuration management, documentation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities.
  • •Troubleshoot technical system and equipment issues and support improvement activities.
  • •Apply systems and equipment expertise in cooperation with other related disciplines to resolve technical problems.
  • •Interface effectively with clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees.
  • •Work the expected schedule (M–Th, 40 hrs/week) with potential for occasional overtime in a production environment.

Key Requirements

  • •US citizenship and ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation, to satisfy Department of Energy clearance requirements.
  • •ABET-accredited BS in an Engineering discipline with 15+ years of relevant experience, or a MS in a relevant Engineering discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • •Machining experience required; additional experience preferred.
  • •Ability to obtain/maintain a DOE Q clearance.
  • •Knowledge of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance in a nuclear regulated environment; NRC/DOE regulated environment experience is desirable.
