Job Summary

Perform mobile/field preventative maintenance and DOT inspections for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, brake, cooling, steering, engine, transmission, and related systems, using test instruments and road tests. Maintain parts inventory, manage your daily schedule, complete DOT and repair-order documentation, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems (including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and more).
•Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and confirm proper operation.
•Maintain and reconcile parts inventory and operate/maintain the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
•Document work per company standards by completing DOT forms and repair orders, uploading photos, and communicating with management/support as needed.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or 5 years’ related experience).
•Possess and supply required hand tools for the role.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
•Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
•Must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license, able to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
