Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform cleaning, monitoring, and securing operations to set up a vacuum atomization furnace.
  • •Follow verbal and written instructions to perform repetitive tasks before, after, and during the atomization process.
  • •Prepare raw material charges and run the furnace control board; perform minor repairs and housekeeping.
  • •Assist with removal/replacement of furnace lid and coils; clean furnace chamber interior and “O” ring seal.
  • •Use an electric hoist to remove/replace furnace lid; clean crucibles and patch cracks; adhere to EH&S guidelines including respirator use.
