Key Responsibilities

  • •Patch cabling between network equipment and the customer network.
  • •Install power cables from equipment to power supplies in racks/cabinets/closets.
  • •Install, troubleshoot, and de-install network equipment and perform device swaps (e.g., phones, computers, cables, boards).
  • •Complete Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests within defined service levels.
  • •Perform onsite testing (data, voice, website, security) and support backup testing and carrier testing of circuits.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of experience in data communications.
  • •Proficient with technical tools such as sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
  • •Must be able to perform rack and stack activities and safely lift heavy objects.
  • •Must understand cable patching processes and be familiar with 66 Block and 110 Block cross connect procedures.
  • •Must have basic knowledge of Cisco Phones and switches/routers and be able to install and troubleshoot Cisco and Avaya IP phones.
