Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee sales and account management, holding commercial responsibility for advancing acquiring initiatives such as Transit, SMB acceptance, merchant Token, and Click to Pay.
  • •Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, delivering strategic guidance to maximize business opportunities.
  • •Develop and execute account-level strategies for revenue management, focusing on sustainable growth and business impact.
  • •Identify and capture new business areas (e.g., SMEs and transit solutions) and help establish future-proof acceptance solutions.
  • •Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews and executive meetings, serving as the single point of contact for client-related matters across functions, markets, and regions.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8+ years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or 3+ years with a PhD.
  • •12+ years of experience in the payments industry (or a relevant sector) and a proven track record of high performance.
  • •Strong proficiency in both English and Japanese, including exceptional verbal and written communication for formal business collaboration.
  • •Deep knowledge of the acquiring landscape, including EMV technology, Token, Transit, and merchant infrastructure for face-to-face and e-commerce.
  • •Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or product management, plus a client-first mindset.
