Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Facility Security Officer (FSO) for all MTSA requirements per 33 CFR 105.105.
  • •Supervise and develop four security technicians and direct the contract security force to maintain site security readiness and respond to security-related events or changes in security posture.
  • •Develop and implement security plans, procedures, training programs, and drills/exercises that meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and performance expectations.
  • •Oversee access control programs and monitor/evaluate physical security systems including cameras, gates, alarms, access control systems, radios, and related equipment.
  • •Conduct investigations, maintain security records and documentation, and coordinate security emergency response and crisis management with operations, HSE, emergency response teams, and external agencies.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree and typically 8+ years of relevant experience in security, HSE, emergency response, or related fields (or 10+ years in lieu of a degree).
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience specifically in security, HSE, and/or emergency response, preferably in refining or petrochemical environments.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, and developing employees and/or contractors in a people leadership capacity.
  • •Experience developing, implementing, and managing security/safety/emergency response plans, systems, programs, and procedures.
  • •Experience conducting investigations, documenting findings, and driving corrective actions and follow-up activities.
